I am grateful for him and honored to be his wife and partner. He is so supportive of me and my random wild artist ideas.
I couldn't ask for a better partner, friend, and father for my children.

I did a thing!

I have been rebelling for about 20 years when it comes to learning how to crochet... To my mother's surprise and delight I told her I was ready and asked her to teach me.
I can see why a previous version of myself (with much less zen) rage quit learning this. You have to RELAX and the yarn must be LOOSE. Those are newer words in my daily vocabulary 😁

Today my son put his ramp together backwards. I tr

Today my son put his ramp together backwards. I tried to "help" him by putting it together "right". It immediately collapsed.

Frustrated, I held it for him for a bit, vut eventually I had to start getting everyone ready to go.
I let go of the ramp, he picked up the pieces and flipped them back around upside down.
To my amazement, they held eachother up. He looked at me with a "see?" in his eyes. I looked back with such pride.

Poetic, is it not?

I just started a 4 story, multiple room, interior plus exterior painting job that needs to be done by Christmas! 😁👍🎄 Chris asked Kira if she had a house what color would she paint it and she said "Rainbow colors because I love all the colors." 😍🥰😊 We giggled and he asked again "What if you had to pick 2 colors?" Without hesitation she replied "I would pick blue and yellow and mix them together to get green"

I was scrolling through my phone and found this picture my daughter took of me and our house last night. I didn't even know she had my phone.

Last night was really weird. My sons both slept for 12 hours, and I spent some good time with just her. It was dark early. We set up some Christmas stuff. It was quiet. The high chair was empty.
It struck me that I don't ever see myself the way she does. Or anything for that matter. She thought that the lights, and her mom, just as they were, were worthy of a photo. I love getting a glimpse of life through her eyes.

I haven't been very active on social media lately (again, I realize I am a repeat offender of this) but to be honest, I have been a little down. A little secluded. Just going through the motions.
But seeing these today made me want to share. Seeing these made me want to connect. With her and with the people around me. After all, isn't that what the holiday's are about?

So let's give ourselves a hug, several deep breaths, and a glass of water today. It will be alright. Just the way it is.
