I know I am not the best at updating my blog. I seriously average 2 posts a year. Not cool, I know.
So here is my mid-year update.
I have been slower than normal with all of the craziness that has been going on. I had nothing going on during the lock down. Then I had more work than I could handle, and now I have no work again. It has been a crazy ride for me that has really given me the opportunity to reflect on my life.
Art has always been a major part of my life, in whatever form I was currently practicing. While not being able to go out and paint, I have been painting in my studio again, and have re-discovered my birth art.
Over a 2 month journey, I have decided to become a DONA certified Doula. I have not felt this level of excitement and inspiration in a long time. Connecting with women and mothers is actually my favorite part of painting nurseries, and I am excited and honored to dive more into that part of myself.
As my role as a Doula develops, I see my art business start to focus more on nursery murals, and my canvas art really start to dive deep into birth. I am excited to see how this morphs and changes over the years.
I hope that things are going well for everyone out there. Thank you for being my people. <3
